Welcome to the e-learning section. Here you will find a range of e-learning initiatives from a variety of different sources to support your online training.
Nucleus
Nucleus is a new application on Synapse. From ethics to evidence-based medicine, team-working to time-management, Nucleus collates the best online resources available to support the generic training curriculum. You can add your own discoveries, rate resources and give feedback.

e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH)
e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) is an award winning e-learning portal providing national, quality assured online training content for the healthcare profession. e-LfH projects enhance traditional learning, support existing teaching methods and provide a valuable reference point which can be accessed anytime, anywhere. e-LfH also includes Foundation e-learning including areas such as Equality & Diversity and Health Promotion. This is now available to all Foundation (F1 and F2) doctors across London. For further information, please click here.
LeAD
e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH) has developed LeAD - a free and engaging e-learning resource to help doctors develop their understanding of how their role contributes to managing and leading health services, focusing on the five leadership domains outlined in the Medical Leadership Competency Framework. National eLearning Repository
The eLearning Repository links to leadership resources produced (and hosted) by the London Deanery Faculty Development department and Macmillan Learn Zone. It is a national e-learning initiative which aims to provide a library for discovering available e-learning resources, ranging from simple graphics through to presentations, papers and full e-learning courses. This library also includes a catalogue of e-learning content that has been developed and shared by a wide variety of NHS trusts.

Connecting for Health
This is part of the NHS Connecting for Health Professionalising Health Informatics (PHI) online portal.
It hosts links to many health-related leadership and change management development opportunities which could be of benefit to managers and leaders everywhere, not just informatics staff. The portal has been developed to include Board level development and career pathways, and the Learning Web aims to support personal and professional development. Skills Academy for Health - NHS Core Learning Unit (CLU)
The CLU has developed a range of e-learning and face to face learning programmes which can add real value to the learning needs of all Health and Care staff. The range of programmes CLU offer include Health & Safety Awareness, Respect for People - Equality & Diversity, Disability Awareness and Introduction to Patient Safety. The Productive Leader – NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement
The Productive Leader is a systematic, evidence-based programme which can help you look at personal, team and organisational activity and instill a culture of improvement at all levels of your organisation. It can help you and your team to release the time to reinvest in value-adding activities and enable you to make the decisions that matter. The Productive Leader is part of the NHS Institute's Productive Series and includes a range of intervention to help build leadership capability and capacity across the NHS. BMJ Learning
BMJ Learning is a professional development (CPD) and postgraduate training website for all health professionals. This channel is provided by the London Deanery for all NHS London staff. Individual modules are available at no extra cost to all NHS London staff through their NHS Athens account and the range of modules BMJ Learning include Becoming an agent of change: key principles and practical examples of managing change and Leadership: leading health services in difficult circumstances. MacMillan Learn Zone
The MacMillan Cancer support Learn Zone provides free access via the Learn Zone website. (You will need to set up an account to access). The leadership toolbox consists of the Ashridge VLRC: Learning guides, book reviews and pocketbooks and 50 Lessons: Over 1000 video stories for busy leaders. 4 minute stories from successful leaders. National Learning Management System (NLMS)
The National Learning Management System (NLMS) is a way for all NHS employees with a staff record on ESR to access free of charge e-learning courses written for the NHS. The development of the NLMS is a joint initiative between the Department of Health, NHS Connecting for Health, NHS Core Learning Unit, e-Learning for Healthcare and the Electronic Staff Record Programme (ESR), which has introduced elearning capabilities into the Oracle Learning Management (OLM) and Self Service modules of ESR.
