Welcome to the Interprofessional learning initiatives section of the website.

There is extensive literature describing the barriers that exist between NHS clinicians and managers. With emerging evidence associating engagement between clinicians and managers with organisational performance (Medical Engagement Scale; NHS Institute of Innovation and Improvement, 2010) there is a strong case for initiatives that enhance engagement and collaboration between clinicians and managers.  Whilst there is a move to address this and a growing call for improved clinical leadership, this “them and us” divide persists. 

This section brings together current initiatives in London to link junior doctors and managers.
