For those interested in developing their leadership skills to an advanced level, there are many Masters Level courses across London and nationally.

Open University Clinical Leadership Programme

In collaboration with the BMJ Group, the Clinical Leadership Programme provides postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Leadership for healthcare professionals. The courses are based on the principle of shared leadership and consists of practical courses  which are skills based, flexible and studied online. Each course on the programme is certificated and can be studied individually to contribute towards an individual’s CPD requirements or built on to work towards the Postgraduate Certificate, an MSc or MBA. The programme has been developed by BMJ Learning, the medical education division of BMJ Group, in partnership with The Open University (OU) Business School. MSc Healthcare Education & Clinical Leadership

This course is held at Kingston University and is designed for healthcare professionals and/or mentors who are keen to learn about teaching and management techniques. The course offers modules that apply to any healthcare setting, as well as work-based learning assignments that recognise local and individual needs. Divided into three equal stages, the course consists of taught modules, work-based learning projects and the opportunity to explore a topic of particular interest in some depth. MSc/PG Diploma/ PG Certificate in Clinical Leadership for Allied Health Professions

The Clinical Leadership for Allied Health Professions programme at City University equips AHPs with the skills and knowledge they require as clinical leaders. MSc Leadership Development

This MSc in Leadership Development at Edge Hill University will create leaders able to improve quality of care and act as effective change agents. Throughout the programme reflection will be applied to determine the type of leader you are; the type of leader you aspire to be (and why); and the action that will be taken to further your leadership development. This will be supported by group work, debate, action learning sets and student-led seminars to create a learning community conducive to critical reflection. PG Cert/PG Dip/MSc in Leadership and Management Development

The South West London Academic Network's Institute of Leadership and Management in Health has developed a a unique programme which has been specifically designed to meet the needs of those already working, or intending to work, in the health and social care services in the public, private and voluntary sectors in both the UK and internationally. Its evidence base is drawn from the latest research and practice in health sector leadership and management, combined with the practical application of new knowledge and skills to work-based situations. Leadership and management development is offered in two ways: through ILMH's flagship Msc in Leadership and Management in Health and as tailored short courses for leadership development and other Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities. MSc Medical Leadership

 The Royal College of Physicians has partnered with the prestigious academic institutions of Birkbeck College and The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, both part of the University of London, to deliver the Masters in Medical Leadership programme.  This unique programme provides comprehensive coverage of all aspects of leadership, balancing theory with content which is relevant to the busy healthcare workplace. One of the hallmarks of the programme is that it also provides a series of unique opportunities to take part in interactive  discussion sessions with some of today's most eminent leaders in healthcare. The overall aim is to provide a firm foundation so that medical professionals can go on to attain senior levels of management such as Clinical Directors, Medical Directors or Chief Executives.
