Development opportunity for emerging leaders -the Vanguard Programme

NHS London are inviting you to take part in a funded national development called the Vanguard Programme.   The programme focuses on structured learning as well as delivering real change through a QIPP improvement programme; sharing that with at least 40 further people.

The scheme offers places to 60 emerging leaders nationally (6 per current SHA region; one per London cluster) plus their 60 senior sponsors, applying as a development pair. It is open to emerging leaders of all clinical and non-clinical disciplines from Bands 6-8a plus junior doctors. However you are welcome to restrict your search to a smaller group if that is helpful. If junior doctors are to be considered I expect the Deanery will wish to be involved.

The time commitment is approx 12 days over six months, embedded inside people’s current roles. Sponsors need to be fully committed to their part in the programme, which includes c.6 days’ structure and an expectation that they will supervise and ease the delivery of the QIPP project.

The structured programme involves online leadership development modules – delivered predominantly through webinars - plus an induction event, learning sets and a final celebration.
